I find myself craving zucchini.
Not to eat. Not to cook with. Not even for some depraved purpose best left to fetish web sites. No, I want a zucchini *plant.* (plants, plural, actually…I think they need 2 or more to bear fruit.) I went to buy some zucchini plants a few weeks back and came home with cucumbers. Just as I found a 6 pack of the little squash I was looking for, I heard an elderly lady asking an orange-bibbed Depot employee if there were no more zucchini. I gave her the last ones in my hand. Now, I like the taste of cucumbers better. And their texture makes them much better suited for any fetish needs. But the zucchini plant is tough to beat in the garden. Huge yellow-orange flowers. Strong stems and stalks. Massive, deep-green leaves. Heavy, phallic fruit. There is something so lush and fertile about a zucchini plant. So, do I see what magic will grow from my baby cucumber plants? Or shall I rush to Home Depot for some squash seedlings? Perhaps I will simply prepare another area of soil and do both. The truth is, besides watering, the universe does most the work. |

Disenchanted pointed out a bumper sticker she saw:
“It’s better to be despised for exactly who you are, than to be loved for who you aren’t.” Amen. My parents always said, "keep your options open." I've only recently realized that its okay to limit your options on the path to being TRUE to yourself. So I'm not gonna be a politician. Fine. I'd rather be ME and live with those consequences/blessings. |

A mid-month Globalgasm!?
Well, not officially. But a British film crew is coming to TheRealHouse on Sunday to film. We're going to go through the 'gasm intro gathering and talk as if it were July 1. SO, if you want to be a part of a mid-month gasm, come by the Globalgasm Video Lounge Sunday evening. (They arrive at 5pm, so we will probably be sitting down at 6 or so?) It may not be the first of the month, but lets focus our sex energy anyway! |

heh. This was my quote of the day:

I am in a VERY good place with the events of yesterday. If you're not on my emaillist (for shame!) I reprinted my reflections in my LiveJournal.
You can also hear Wednesday's Feel The Love radio show where "Jenna" calls in twice. At one point I begged forgiveness for doubting her. I'm not really humilated. Nor ashamed. I *am* too trusting and I love freely...those aren't secrets. |

Some mornings are better than others.
This morning I woke to cancelled NY plans. (read comments to this LiveJournal post.) And then learned that my grandmother died last night. May angels cradle you as your soul transitions. I love you always. |

I am really impressed with the functionality of LiveJournal. I find myself friend surfing with such ease. I know there are limits to the design you can do, but that is part of the charm. I can get to the meat of a person very quickly.
And if I make them a friend, I can read all updates of all my friends on one page. Plus I get emailed when there are comments in my journal OR replies to comments I've left in others' journals. Color me impressed. I may even look into converting this cockybastard blog. |

My friends Jeffrey and Lorena got married this weekend. They had a party, then suprised the guests with, "We're getting married....TONIGHT!"
Last week I met with both of them for a sort of spiritual path counseling. It was wonderful. They helped me tremendously. As Jeffrey was leaving, he loaned me a books-on-tape set: The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. I’m just starting, but its pretty amazing. Tolle says there is only NOW. And all pain comes from past and future thoughts. Anxiety & fear = future thoughts Regret & Loss = past But those things don’t really exist! There is only NOW. Even the future only occurs in the NOW. (He says it better.) But it is pretty revolutionary, and at the same time so obvious. Bottom line: Love more. Fear less. Congrats to Jeffrey and Lorena. May your light continue to brighten us all! |

My new york trip is going to wait a few days. Timing will be better mid week.
This is significant because I'm *extremely* excited to meet Jenna. So this setback is like hearing Xmas is gonna be on the 28th. It will still be incredible and filled with bows and joy. But I did have to pout for a moment. Now I'm back to being excited again about my mid-week adventure. I'll try to be productive with my time. Or perhaps I'll just sit longingly here with this warm ache. |

Today we had a Burning Man meeting.
Then Dlove, DigitalPunk and BeachGirl stayed over and we watched Waking Life (again.) |

Wow.
I just saw Waking Life. ![]() Amazing. Richard Linklater may have just made it on my "5 people I want to have lunch with" list. So good. Art. I was educated, enlightened and INSPIRED. I totally want to take citizensex.com in a new direction. I can't praise this film enough. Wow. I think I'm gonna be awake for a while. |

Did I mention I'm going to New York next week? Well, I have become quite smitten with a sexy friend on LiveJournal. After much email and chat, she invited me for a visit.
So I'm packing my bondage gear, leather chaps, and furry pants and am SUPER excited about a NewYork adventure. We even have a photo shoot planned in DC on friday. (Hopefully the welts won't show up too terribly in the pics.) |

We had a good House meeting tonight. We are gonna try to pick up the pace. Live louder. Pursue "being ourselves" more. I realized that making a successful website should not be the goal. Living an outstanding life (publically) should be.

Two inspiring things in my inbox this morning:
"To be what we are, and to become what we are capable of becoming, is the only end of life -Robert Louis Stevenson. and "i saw you and the housemates in those gasm pics and thought, "Wow! instead of wishing the world was more like that, John has made the world of his choosing." good job!" -My friend, Air |

crazy day. Had the water turned off in TheRealHouse today due to a bill paying error. Luckily, thanks to Des' quick moving, we got it turned on before our stink alarmed the neighbors.
![]() Later tested out the TRH full-stream cam. Go-Go dancing works so much better whben the music and movements are in sync. God forbid someone thinks I lack rhythm. And my cactus started to bloom as dusk approached. Since I live in a House with a camera or two, I captured its blooming: |
