My Mom's Sober Birthday was last week. SIXTEEN YEARS. congradulations, Mom. Your courage inspires me.
Months later, I'm a 9.4 on AmIHotorNot. I'm liable to get cocky.
Globalgasm is Wednesday! (After my radio show and HugNation...so foreplay won't be a problem.)
MissM and I are back from an amazing Saturday at the Lifestyles Convention.
I feel like a cultural explorer lately...immersing myself in diverse extremes:
If you missed Lunch Links today, you missed this wacky discussion.
I love finding old experiments. (links don't work)
I updated the lustmonkey.com site.
I ended up fixing a bunch of broken links to some RealSlideshows I made. Tripod changed their file-hosting policy so you can only link to files on tripod *from* tripod pages. (I should have known this since it caused havek on CitizenX)
But no need to panic, I fixed up a quick Tripod page to link to them. Ya know what? Watching them again, I really like them. It may be the closest thing to video editing that I have the patience for. "Divine Song" actually uses narration I recorded at Burning Man last year. I got excited listening to my voice on the Playa...I could feel my intensity.
If you want to wade through some shit, Al posted a bunch of emails he got from Kaycee. Mind-blowing stuff. Most of these are from long before she ever started her "Living Colours" site.
This video of my friend Valerie playing at Club Giant made me want to go dance!! (large file)
A new wrds entry that I'll probably regret posting.
"'I got no indication that the smiles (this year) are smaller,' said John Halcyon Styn, last year's Personal Site award winner."-USA Today article about the 2001 Webby awards.
I'm gonna try to start doing a daily lunchtime chat: "Lunch Links” 11:00 – 11:30 am chat weekdays in CitizenX's Topic Lounge. See you there! (more)
We set up the Lustmonkey Vibe Hive yesterday in a local park. Dome-a-riffic!
New Tale! well, sort of. I posted the pre-interview I did with Jessica Corbin at TechTV,
Brian Fry's Photography site is redesigned with photos of me and Robin in the "North" and "West" galleries. It was a very cool experience cruising crazy locations North of LA as a model-for-hire. In an eerie sense of Serendipity, Robin was in San Diego this weekend, but we weren't able to connect. I wonder if my thinking about Robin somehow cosmically motivated Bryan to re-do his site?
"The showstopper on the production side: a hilarious parody of VH-1's "Behind the Music" docudrama called "Behind the Website" devoted to the meteoric rise, tragic fall and spiritual redemption of "CockyBastard," whose life was transformed by fame after he won the Webby for personal Web site last year. Peppered with heart-wrenching interviews with his mom and brother, it culminated in CockyBastard having to lose his domain name to find himself. Humbled and wiser, he now lives on the Web at an incomprehensible address on Geocities. Let this tale be a lesson to you "Dancing Paul," the winner this year in the personal Web site category -- don't let the glory go to your head. "

A classic webby pic and caption by Ev.
I bowled a 163 last night. So all y'all punks give me RESPECT!
Some awesome Webby photos by Derek.
And one by kevin-john
Folks, if you get this email, its a virus:
I just bought a Saturday pass to the annual lifestyles convention. I will be attending such workshops as "Are YOU Being Affected by Society's Stigmatization of Pleasure?" and "Erotic Candle/Wax Play"
Anyone know an editor that might be interested in a report from the convention?
my porn buy of the week: 8 Jenna Jameson movies for $20. (no...I don't buy every week...12 hours of new porn a week is excessive even for me.)
Hopefully a version of the "Behind The Website" parody from the webbies broadcast will be online soon. I'll keep you posted.
I slept 15 hours last night.
"Get a look at that guy! He loves himself. I myself have never been in that category. What an ego!"
Back from the webbies. What fun! I'm feeling a post-bliss numbness.
I'm in a weird headspace. I'm excited about the brief trip to SF. But when I return, two of my Housemates will be gone. Flare is moving to Virginia and Bobo is starting a roadtrip with a final destination unknown. I was just watching the newest RealHouseTV episode and couldn't help but be melancholy. I know things always work out...but its still sad when a chapter comes to a close. I'll miss you both. This was a a grand adventure and I feel fortunate to have shared it with you.
I added a new wrds called, "baptism."
New RealHouseTV episode tonight @ 8pm. (Topic: Flare22's Farewell Kareoke)
Hey, Canadians! I'll be on TalkTV today at 6:30 PST talking about the Webbies.
Holy crap! Julian's AMAZING Burning Man photos are up from this year! Here's a large version of one of me (make sure you rollover)
Mr Rogers is going off the air. He is a cardigan-wearing Love Ninja and I will forever be grateful for what I learned in his dojo. Re-listening to his emmy acceptance speech made me cry again.
Someday I want to be as zen as Mr. Rogers. (thanks, Metafilter)
Kelly posted a ton of new RealHouse pics. (Bondage shots, party shots, house shots...)
Digital Punk started picking up trash on his walk to work. That is so damn cool.
Kaya is back updating regularly...and making me laugh daily.
Longmire's head on Halcyon's body=DANGER
Wow. The TechTV interview went FAST. 3 minutes, maybe. I tellya, I need 5 minutes just to get warmed up. (I'm referring to speaking, not sex...in bed, 3 minutes is plenty of time for me.)
here's the TechTV pre-interview
techTV air time should be around 4:45. I'm struggling to figure out a way to tape it. If you can tape it, I will be your devoted sex slave.
In san diego, you need to have digital cable. If you will be able to tape it, email me!
I got an recommendation email from Amazon about a Simpsons Philosophy book I might like. 15 minutes later I had bought 3 books and spent $50. Man, that is my kinda shopping! I enjoyed It a bit *too* much.
Tonight's radio show is up. It was a fun one. :)
Awwwwwww...here's a pic of me holding my baby cousin Harper.
FINALLY got things figured out and have RealHouseTV episode 15 playing. Chocked full of llama goodness.
Do you get TechTV? I'm gonna be on tomorrow's "Screensavers" show.
We had a "Farewell to Flare" event among the TheRealHouse roomates last night:
Me? I'm not a huge fan of karaoke. In the same sense that I'm not a big fan of fingernails on the chalkboard while people shove white hot charcoal briquets deep into my colon.
Have an opinion on karaoke? Call in to today's radio show @5.
My cousin Tracy and Rob came by the RealHouse today. They are so damn cool. We had an interesting conversation looking at the similarities between living in a webcam house and raising a baby. The baby is simply an audience of one. But a VERY important one.
Kaya's Reality TV analysis is as astute now as it was a year ago.
woke up with a little sickness. physical, not mental this time.
*sigh* I'm having technical difficulties. RealHouseTV episode 15 featuring hot & heavy llamas, will debut tomorrow.
Tonight's RealHouseTV episode will be footage from this weekends' Mountain journey. INCLUDING investigative reporting of a possible beastiality sex-trade. (You'll have to watch to find out.) Premiere at 8pm.
The mountains were awesome. We took M's Bike. Riding on the back of a woman's motorcycle through windy mountain roads at sunset...it was one of those do-it-once-in-your-lifetime things.
This weekend I am celebrating my 1 year aniversary with MissM. We are going to a bed and breakfast in the mountains. My idea was to stay at home and work on the computer, but M convinced me that a B&B would be more romantic.
Half the sites I visit are down. Is the net broken!?
Jason put together a "Feel the Love" 1 Year Aniversary Hilight Show
Yesterday we went to a British pub and ordered tea. Then we refused to pay the tax and poured the tea on the floor. Woo-hoo! In your face, England!!!
Hope your Independence day was filled with freedom. I wore a snazzy neon skirt and sparkly cowboy hat to the beach. And I got to the beach on the back of my girlfriend's motorcycle. Nothing says "freedom" like chicks on bikes.
Radio Show today at 5 is a "best of" show. Enjoy!!
Happy Fourth of July!
If I haven't told you lately, I love you.
I'm moving all my sites over to Dreamhost. The only downside is that since they use Unix servers, file names are case sensitive. I have been on forgiving Windows servers for YEARS. So there is a good chance I have broken links and images all over the place. If you happen to notice an error, wouldya lemmie know? THANKS!
new episode of RealHouseTV is live.
I talk a bit about the start of Season Two. How we are going to start thinking more in terms of Burning Man. Like the House is a Camp. The House provides a shade structure and a Genny (generator.) We expect Housemates and visitors to follow Playa rules:
Happy Birthday, Jacob!!
The International nude protest went well yesterday. M and I took a picture naked in the street in front of our house.
And Globalgasm went well, too. It was the first time since Jan. that we were not under the recording eyes of MTV in some way or another. Whew!
